Life changed for me that day.
The day I bought my first computer,
September 1992.
I did not know it at first,
what the computer was for,
it took time to study and explore.
As I played
I discovered that I had a knack.
I was able to understand computing quickly.
I taught myself computer graphics,
word processors, and much more.
Soon I was building my own computers.
Then family and friends came knocking on my door
for cheap computer repairs and custom setups.
I even dabbled in programming;
fun but not my forte.
Html was more interesting;
soon I was making web pages.
And then I was on the World Wide Web.
Now I have friends around the world,
and a nickname that can be searched,
amazing to this one-time country kid
who used to play in the dirt.
